Remote Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Construction Planner to join their dynamic team. This position is integral to the successful execution of complex construction projects, requiring meticulous planning and scheduling expertise. Working entirely from home, you will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive project plans, ensuring all activities align with project objectives, timelines, and resource availability. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of construction methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in advanced planning software, contributing to efficient project delivery across various sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed master schedules and look-ahead plans for construction projects using P6 or similar software.
• Identify critical path activities, potential constraints, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to gather input for schedule development and updates.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
• Analyse resource requirements and ensure efficient allocation of labour, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare schedule-related reports, including progress updates, variance analysis, and delay claims support.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler on large-scale projects.
• Expert proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with project teams.
