Remote Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Construction Planner to join their national project delivery team. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring complex construction schedules from project inception through to completion, working entirely from a remote location. Your expertise in scheduling software and construction methodologies will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential schedule risks and developing robust mitigation strategies, facilitating seamless collaboration with project managers and site teams across the UK to maintain project momentum and achieve critical milestones, all within a remote-first operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using P6 or similar planning software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule input and ensure alignment.
• Identify potential scheduling risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and report on deviations.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including critical path analysis and look-ahead schedules.
• Contribute to tender planning and feasibility studies by developing preliminary project schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler, ideally with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar advanced scheduling software .
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequences, and lead times.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for a remote working environment .
• A degree or HND in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
