Remote Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Remote Construction Planner to contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the UK. Working entirely from home, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring construction schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders using digital tools to optimize workflows and identify potential risks to the schedule. This role is ideal for a proactive planner who can work independently and effectively manage complex timelines in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction master schedules and phase-specific plans.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
• Liaise with project managers and site teams to gather updates and forecast completion dates.
• Prepare schedule impact analyses for changes and variations.
• Utilize planning software to create visual representations of project timelines and critical paths.
• Contribute to the bidding process by providing input on schedule feasibility and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and durations.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify critical path activities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines consistently.
