About the Role
Our client is seeking a technically proficient Remote Construction Site Engineer to provide engineering support and oversight for projects, while working from home. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are executed in accordance with designs, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to effectively communicate technical information and resolve issues remotely. You will act as a key technical point of contact, liaising between design teams, site teams, and project managers to ensure technical integrity and project success, all within a remote-first framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and engineering support to construction site teams remotely.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure constructability and compliance.
- Assist in the resolution of technical queries and site issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor construction progress and quality remotely, providing feedback and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, building codes , and safety regulations.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants on technical matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Construction Engineer, with a strong technical background.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and quality control processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, comfortable using virtual tools.
