Remote Data Analyst - Mineral Resource Management

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Remote Data Analyst to join their forward-thinking team, focusing on Mineral Resource Management. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of geological, operational, and financial data to support strategic decision-making in resource exploration and extraction. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate with geologists, engineers, and management across various locations to provide actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large datasets from diverse sources including geological surveys, production logs, and market data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for mineral resource projects.
• Perform statistical analysis and build predictive models to forecast resource availability and project outcomes.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within the data to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the mining or natural resources sector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and geospatial data .
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work independently.
