Remote Data Scientist - Mining Analytics

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement predictive models for resource estimation, production forecasting, and equipment maintenance.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Design and build data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and integrating diverse data sources.
• Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and operational managers to define analytical requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI relevant to the mining industry.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data science, with a strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
