About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Remote Delivery Fleet Manager to lead and optimize their national delivery fleet operations. This is a senior, fully remote role requiring exceptional leadership and logistical expertise. You will be responsible for the overall performance, efficiency, and compliance of the company's fleet, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries across the United Kingdom. Your focus will be on strategic planning, driver management, and implementing best practices to maintain our client's high standards of service from a remote capacity, supporting operations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for optimal fleet performance, including route planning, vehicle allocation, and maintenance schedules.
• Manage, motivate, and support a dispersed team of drivers and fleet personnel remotely.
• Ensure strict adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to fleet operations and driver conduct.
• Oversee budget management for the fleet, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Utilize fleet management software and data analytics to monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a strong safety culture within the fleet, implementing policies and training programs to minimize risks.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in fleet management , logistics, or transportation operations, preferably with a remote management component.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing large or complex fleets.
• In-depth knowledge of fleet compliance, maintenance, and operational best practices.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with proficiency in fleet management software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for remote team leadership.
