About the Role
Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Remote Diagnostic Engineer to bolster their Installation & Maintenance team. This is a fully remote position where you will leverage advanced tools and your technical expertise to diagnose complex issues within installed systems and equipment. Your primary focus will be on identifying root causes of problems, developing effective solutions, and providing remote support to clients or on-site technicians. This role is ideal for a meticulous engineer who enjoys problem-solving from a distance and contributing to the efficiency and longevity of critical infrastructure through expert remote analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth remote diagnostics on equipment and systems to identify root causes of failures or performance issues.
- Analyze diagnostic data, logs, and sensor readings to pinpoint technical faults.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting strategies.
- Provide expert remote technical support and guidance to field technicians and end-users.
- Document diagnostic findings, solutions, and recommendations comprehensively.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay feedback for product improvements and issue prevention.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a diagnostic engineering, field service, or technical support role, with a strong emphasis on remote capabilities.
- Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software systems relevant to the client's industry.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, data analysis tools, and remote monitoring platforms.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong remote communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex diagnostic investigations remotely.
