About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Dispatch and Planning Specialist to manage their delivery operations from home. This crucial role involves optimizing delivery schedules, coordinating a fleet of drivers across the UK, and ensuring efficient logistical flow. You will be responsible for using advanced planning software and maintaining clear communication channels to facilitate timely and accurate deliveries. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes and schedules for a UK-wide fleet of drivers.
• Utilize dispatch software to monitor driver progress and manage real-time adjustments to routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve delivery issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of all dispatch activities and delivery statuses.
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation planning, ideally in a remote capacity.
• Strong proficiency with logistics planning software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• A dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet access.
• Familiarity with the Berkshire area and UK road networks is a plus.
