Remote Dispatch Coordinator - Logistics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organized Remote Dispatch Coordinator to manage logistics operations from a remote capacity. Based from home, you will be responsible for coordinating delivery schedules, communicating with drivers, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods for operations based in and around Wolverhampton . This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in optimizing routes, troubleshooting logistical challenges, and maintaining high service levels for our client's customers throughout the region and beyond, working with a dedicated team across different locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule delivery routes for drivers, optimizing for efficiency and timely completion.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone and digital platforms to provide instructions and support.
• Monitor the progress of deliveries and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update logistics management systems in real-time.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve logistical queries and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and transport regulations in all dispatch activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics coordination , dispatch, or a similar role.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with logistics software and general computer applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle pressure.
• Familiarity with transport operations and geographical knowledge of the West Midlands is a plus.
