Remote Distribution Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Distribution Planner to join their expanding logistics department. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and optimization of our client's distribution network to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will analyze transportation data, manage carrier performance, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency across all distribution channels. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize distribution routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers, negotiating rates and service levels.
• Monitor distribution performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Utilize logistics software and tools to track shipments and manage the flow of goods.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to resolve distribution-related issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning, distribution management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, route optimization, and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency in using logistics planning software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, suitable for remote interaction.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
