Remote Exploration Geoscientist - Data Integration

About the Role

Our client is looking for an adept Exploration Geoscientist to join their remote workforce, supporting global exploration efforts from anywhere within the UK . This specialized role focuses on integrating diverse geoscience datasets, including geophysical, geochemical, and geological information, to identify and prioritize exploration targets. You will be instrumental in building comprehensive subsurface models and providing data-driven insights to our international exploration teams. This is an ideal position for a geoscientist passionate about data synthesis and geological interpretation in a fully remote setting .

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and interpret multi-disciplinary geoscience data (seismic, gravity, magnetic, geochemical, drilling).
• Develop and manage exploration databases, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
• Utilize geophysical modeling and inversion techniques to delineate subsurface anomalies.
• Collaborate virtually with exploration geologists and geophysicists to generate high-quality exploration targets.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for exploration strategy.
• Contribute to the development of advanced data processing and interpretation workflows.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral or hydrocarbon exploration, with a strong focus on data integration and interpretation.
• Proficiency with geophysical software (e.g., Geosoft Oasis Montaj, Velit, HampsonRussell) and geological modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of the principles of potential field geophysics and seismic data analysis.
• Excellent data analysis, visualization, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for a remote work environment.
