About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Field Support Technician to join their entirely remote team, focusing on clients in and around Stoke-on-Trent . This role requires providing essential on-site support and installation services, guided and coordinated remotely by our central support hub. You will act as the physical point of contact for clients, executing tasks directed by remote specialists, troubleshooting issues on location, and ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of our equipment. This position demands excellent practical skills, the ability to follow complex instructions precisely, and strong communication capabilities for reporting back to the remote team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installations, configurations, and repairs of equipment as directed by the remote support team.
- Conduct physical diagnostics and troubleshooting on equipment at client premises.
- Follow detailed, step-by-step instructions provided remotely for complex procedures.
- Document all on-site activities, findings, and resolutions accurately using mobile applications.
- Provide basic on-site user guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the remote support center regarding progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hands-on technical role, such as installation, maintenance, or field service.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and schematics accurately.
- Strong practical skills with tools and equipment relevant to the industry.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid UK driving license and a reliable vehicle for local travel.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team interaction.
