About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and organised Remote Finance Assistant to support their financial operations. This fully remote position is integral to maintaining the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong attention to detail and a desire to contribute to a charitable mission from a home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients and manage outstanding payments.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly financial closings.
- Maintain financial records and filing systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Support the Finance Manager with the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense claims.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role, preferably within the charity sector.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality in a remote environment.
