Remote Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Remote Financial Controller to oversee all financial aspects of the company from a remote-first perspective. This critical role will involve managing accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP .
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial compliance.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and financial resources.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans, leveraging data analytics and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role, with a proven ability to manage remote teams.
• Deep knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and UK tax laws .
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software and ERP systems; strong command of advanced Excel is essential.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, adaptable to a virtual setting.
