About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their national fleet operations from anywhere in the UK. This is a fully remote position that requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of modern fleet management principles within the Driving & Transport sector. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of all fleet-related activities, including maintenance, compliance, and driver management, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency across a distributed network. This is a critical role for an individual passionate about operational excellence and remote team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs nationwide.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
• Manage driver performance, training, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements remotely.
• Utilise fleet management software to monitor vehicle telematics, fuel consumption, and driver behaviour.
• Ensure all vehicles and operations comply with relevant industry regulations and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with procurement teams on vehicle acquisition, disposal, and leasing arrangements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations , and safety compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
