About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their national transportation network from the comfort of their own home. This role is critical for maintaining the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our client's fleet operations across the UK, with a particular focus on ensuring seamless coordination from Belfast . You will be responsible for managing drivers, optimizing routes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing operational improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs, all while working in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of remote drivers and fleet personnel, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, including route planning and fuel efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with all UK transportation regulations, including working hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards.
- Monitor fleet operations remotely using tracking software and provide timely reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
- Implement and manage cost-control measures across all fleet operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet management or a senior logistics operations role, ideally with remote team oversight.
- Strong understanding of UK transport legislation, HGV regulations, and driver compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote environments.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and digital communication tools.
- Ability to analyze data and implement data-driven operational improvements.
