About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Remote Flight Simulation Software Engineer to join their innovative virtual training solutions team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the development of advanced flight simulators. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing complex software modules that replicate aircraft behavior, environmental conditions, and pilot interfaces. This role demands a passion for aviation, strong software development skills, and the ability to excel in a collaborative, distributed work environment. You will play a key role in creating realistic and effective training experiences for pilots worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity flight dynamics models and simulation software.
- Implement realistic environmental simulation (e.g., weather, atmospheric effects) and system interactions.
- Design and code graphical user interfaces for simulator control and data visualization.
- Integrate various simulation components, including avionics, flight controls, and visual systems.
- Write efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code using C++, C#, and relevant simulation frameworks.
- Collaborate remotely with simulation engineers, subject matter experts, and clients to refine simulation fidelity and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, with a significant focus on flight simulation or real-time systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and C#, with experience in object-oriented design principles.
- Familiarity with 3D graphics programming and relevant technologies (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX, game engines).
- Understanding of flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and aircraft systems is highly advantageous.
