Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments of forest health, biodiversity, and timber resources using GIS and remote sensing technologies.
• Develop sustainable forest management plans, including harvesting strategies, reforestation initiatives, and conservation efforts.
• Provide expert advice on environmental impact assessments, regulatory compliance, and land-use planning.
• Advise clients on best practices for silviculture, pest and disease management, and fire prevention.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, private landowners, and conservation groups.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and technical documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or PhD in Forestry, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in forestry management, consulting, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing applications for forest analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in forest inventory techniques, mensuration, and data analysis.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills, suitable for remote client interaction.
• Deep understanding of forest ecology, conservation principles, and sustainable resource management.
