Remote Freight Forwarder Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Freight Forwarder Specialist to manage international and domestic shipments from a fully remote setting. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring efficient logistics, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations. This role demands exceptional organisational abilities, a deep understanding of global supply chains, and strong negotiation skills with carriers and clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring that shipments are handled professionally, cost-effectively, and arrive at their destination on time. Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end freight forwarding processes for air, sea, and road shipments.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth transit.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively identify and resolve any transit delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws, customs regulations, and safety standards.
• Provide quotes to clients and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and global trade management systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of different transport modes and their associated documentation.
