Remote Health and Safety Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and dedicated Remote Health and Safety Officer to support their construction projects across the UK. This vital role involves ensuring that all operations adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental regulations, all managed from a remote location. You will play a key part in developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures across all company sites.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate identified hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate H&S records and prepare regular compliance reports for senior management.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Health and Safety role , preferably within the construction sector.
• Demonstrable understanding of CDM regulations and current H&S legislation.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities effectively in a remote setup .
