Remote HGV Driver (Class 1)

Our client is seeking experienced and dedicated HGV Drivers (Class 1) to join their expanding logistics team. Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle for long-distance deliveries and collections, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS and transport management software, optimizing delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
• Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and receiving personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details using electronic logging devices (ELDs) or company-provided systems.
• Handle goods with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures are followed to prevent damage and ensure safety compliance.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving license (Category C+E).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 HGV driver , with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of UK road networks, traffic regulations, and working time directives.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
