Remote HGV Driver (UK Wide)

About the Role

Our client is pioneering a new approach to logistics and is seeking experienced HGV Drivers for a unique, fully remote operational model based out of Sunderland . While the role is remote, it requires drivers to operate across the UK, managing their routes and schedules with significant autonomy. This position offers unparalleled flexibility for experienced drivers who are comfortable managing their own time and resources, supported by advanced logistical planning and communication tools. You will be integral to ensuring national delivery networks run smoothly, working from home when not on the road, but always connected to our operational hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) HGVs for long-distance haulage across the United Kingdom.
• Plan daily routes efficiently, utilizing provided navigation and logistics software.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch and support teams.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly through the designated remote system.
• Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations nationwide.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with an up-to-date CPC card.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-haul HGV driving.
• Clean driving license and a strong understanding of UK road network and tachograph regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage personal schedule effectively.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation and basic smartphone/tablet operation for reporting.
