About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Remote Horticulturalist Consultant to provide expert guidance on plant cultivation, garden design, and landscape management. Working entirely remotely, you will assist a diverse clientele, ranging from individual garden enthusiasts to commercial landscape businesses, in achieving their horticultural goals. This position requires a blend of scientific understanding and creative flair, enabling you to offer tailored advice on plant selection, soil improvement, pest and disease control, and sustainable gardening practices. You will contribute to the growth of beautiful and functional green spaces, all from the convenience of your home office, and be part of a company dedicated to fostering greener communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote consultations on plant selection, planting schemes, and garden design principles.
• Advise clients on best practices for soil preparation, fertilization, watering, and pest/disease management.
• Develop customized horticultural plans for various settings, including residential gardens, public spaces, and urban farms.
• Research and recommend suitable plant species based on climate, soil conditions, and client preferences.
• Create educational content and resources on horticultural topics for client engagement and outreach.

Requirements

• Degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Design, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in horticulture or landscape management.
• Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management.
• Excellent client communication and advisory skills.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools and plant identification databases.
