About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote HR Specialist with a focus on Employee Relations to support their UK-wide operations, including their key presence in Edinburgh . In this fully remote role, you will provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies. You will be a vital resource for managers and employees, promoting a positive and compliant workplace culture from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and other ER-related concerns.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on best practices for handling employee relations issues.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment law and best practices.
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and fostering a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR functions to provide a cohesive approach to employee matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations and ER case management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role with a strong focus on Employee Relations .
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly concerning disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct sensitive investigations with impartiality and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills, essential for remote interaction.
- Proficiency with HRIS and case management software.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is highly desirable.
