About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Remote Hygiene Compliance Officer to ensure all cleaning operations meet stringent health, safety, and regulatory standards, working exclusively from home. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene policies and procedures across a diverse portfolio of sites. This role requires a deep understanding of sanitation best practices, relevant legislation, and a keen ability to conduct virtual assessments and audits. You will collaborate closely with operational teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance, making a significant contribution to maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational integrity remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Conduct remote audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Investigate and report on any hygiene-related incidents or non-compliance issues.
• Provide guidance and training to operational staff on best practices for hygiene and sanitation.
• Stay current with all relevant national and local health and safety legislation.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for management to improve hygiene standards and operational safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a hygiene, sanitation, or compliance role, preferably within a facilities or cleaning management context.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards (if applicable).
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
• Effective communication skills for remote reporting and training.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation, reporting, and virtual meetings.
