About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Industrial Engineer with a strong background in Manufacturing Processes to join their dispersed and innovative team. This role is fully remote, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be central to analyzing, redesigning, and implementing improvements to our client's manufacturing operations, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of manufacturing systems and a commitment to continuous improvement, working collaboratively in a virtual setting to achieve tangible results and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Design and implement new manufacturing layouts and workflows using simulation and CAD tools.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline production.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate closely with production teams, quality control, and engineering departments virtually to implement process changes.
• Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in manufacturing process simulation, CAD software, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Experience in developing and documenting manufacturing process improvements.
