About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven Remote Industrial Engineer to excel as an Operations Analyst . This fully remote position allows you to analyze and enhance operational performance from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and reporting on key operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. This role requires a strong analytical aptitude, proficiency with data analysis tools, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for operational teams. You will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making through insightful analysis within a collaborative virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from various sources to identify performance metrics and trends.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and areas of inefficiency, providing data-backed recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations managers and other stakeholders remotely to present findings and support decision-making.
• Support the implementation of process improvements and track their impact on operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in an operations analyst , industrial engineering, or data analysis role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and insights to non-technical audiences in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with lean principles is a plus.
