About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Remote Industrial Engineer Specialist to join their distributed operations team. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing complex supply chain and manufacturing processes from the comfort of your own home office. You will leverage data analytics, simulation software, and innovative problem-solving techniques to drive significant improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall productivity for operations across multiple locations. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive engineer to shape operational strategies and implement best practices in a flexible, work-from-home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of supply chain and manufacturing operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
- Design, simulate, and implement improved workflows, production layouts, and operational procedures using advanced engineering principles.
- Utilize data analysis tools and statistical methods to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Collaborate virtually with plant managers, operations staff, and cross-functional teams to drive implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a closely related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process improvement and operations management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management.
- Advanced proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Exceptional remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage projects independently.
- Experience in developing and implementing KPIs and performance metrics for manufacturing and logistics.
