About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and driven Remote Industrial Engineer with a specialization in supply chain optimization to join their fully distributed team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing and improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of our client's global supply chain operations from anywhere. You will utilize advanced data analytics, modeling, and simulation tools to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategic solutions, and collaborate virtually with logistics partners and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution, to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies for optimizing inventory levels, transportation routes, and warehouse operations.
- Utilize simulation software and modeling techniques to evaluate the impact of proposed supply chain changes and identify potential risks.
- Collaborate virtually with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence across the supply chain.
- Design and implement performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track supply chain efficiency and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and industrial engineering.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering or supply chain analysis, with a strong focus on optimization.
- Proficiency in supply chain modeling and simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena) and advanced data analytics platforms.
- Expertise in lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies applied to supply chain operations.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote work environment.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
