Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Industrial Engineer specializing in Supply Chain Optimization . This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise to analyze and enhance global supply chain operations, logistics, and distribution networks from anywhere. You will focus on identifying inefficiencies, developing strategic solutions, and implementing process improvements that drive cost savings and enhance delivery performance. This role offers unparalleled flexibility and the chance to impact critical business operations on a global scale without being tied to a specific office location, working in Plymouth, Devon remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze global supply chain networks, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for strategic improvement.
- Develop and implement optimized logistics, inventory management, and distribution strategies using advanced analytical tools.
- Design and model improved material flow and warehouse operations, leveraging simulation software.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and customer service, to drive consensus and implement solutions.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track supply chain performance and identify ongoing optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on supply chain, logistics, or distribution.
- Proven experience in network design, process optimization, and cost reduction within complex supply chains.
- Proficiency with supply chain modeling and simulation software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
