About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Industrial Engineer to join their expanding operations, working from anywhere in the UK. This critical role focuses on the design, development, and continuous improvement of our client's production and operational systems. You will be instrumental in analysing complex data sets, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation, all while collaborating virtually with teams across different locations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of manufacturing and operational processes, utilizing statistical methods and data visualization to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve workflow efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimise production costs.
• Design and model optimal factory layouts and material flow systems to support current and future production demands.
• Create detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for operational teams.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, through virtual communication channels.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and operational analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency with relevant software, including simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena), CAD packages, and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely.
