Remote Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Remote Industrial Process Engineer to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations based in Belfast, Northern Ireland . This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving industrial processes with a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders virtually. You will contribute to optimizing production lines and implementing best practices across various facilities, driving significant operational improvements from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes using data and statistical methods to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Design and recommend modifications to processes, equipment, and plant layouts to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies and tools, including Kaizen and Six Sigma principles.
• Create and maintain process documentation, flowcharts, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and R&D, through virtual communication channels.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process performance to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering or process optimization, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong data analysis skills, with experience using statistical software and tools.
• Excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive results independently.
