About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Information Security Specialist to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for monitoring systems, identifying threats, and implementing security controls to protect sensitive data. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts for suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and providing timely resolution.
• Perform regular vulnerability scans and assist in remediation efforts.
• Support the IT team in maintaining the security and integrity of all company systems and data.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an information security role, preferably in a specialist or analyst capacity.
• Familiarity with security best practices, common vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response procedures.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+ or equivalent experience are advantageous.
