Our client is seeking a proactive and technically adept Remote Installation Specialist to support their growing customer base across the UK, with a strong emphasis on clients in the South West England region. This role operates on a fully remote basis, requiring you to guide customers and on-site technicians through the installation and setup of sophisticated equipment via phone, video conferencing, and detailed digital instructions. Your expertise in troubleshooting and clear communication will be essential to ensuring successful installations without physical site presence. This is an ideal position for a self-starter comfortable working from home and adept at remote technical support for a dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert remote guidance for the installation and configuration of specialized equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during remote installation processes.
- Create and update detailed installation guides, videos, and remote support documentation.
- Conduct virtual site assessments with clients to prepare for installations.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Track installation progress and client satisfaction, escalating issues as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support, installation, or field service roles, with a strong emphasis on remote assistance.
- Excellent understanding of hardware, software, and network configurations relevant to the product.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly.
- Proficiency with remote access tools, video conferencing platforms, and digital documentation creation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity from a remote location.
- Familiarity with clients in the Bristol and surrounding South West England areas is advantageous.
