About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Insurance Claims Handler to join their fully remote customer support team, servicing clients across the UK. In this role, you will manage insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth, efficient claims process. You will be responsible for investigating claims, verifying policy coverage, and negotiating fair outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Receive and register new insurance claims, gathering essential details from policyholders.
• Verify policy coverage and assess the extent of liability and damages.
• Communicate with claimants, witnesses, and third parties to obtain necessary information and updates.
• Process claims payments and manage correspondence related to claim settlements.
• Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all claim activities in the system.

Requirements

• Previous experience in insurance claims handling or a customer service role within a regulated industry.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with computers and digital communication tools; experience with claims management software is a plus.
