About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Remote Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations across their network from a remote location. This role is critical for maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing costs, and ensuring product availability to meet customer demand. You will develop and implement effective inventory management strategies, utilize advanced analytics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and accuracy in all inventory-related processes within a dynamic, digitally-enabled operational framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies and policies.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
- Oversee cycle counting programs and conduct periodic physical inventory audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with suppliers regarding stock replenishment and lead times.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, highlighting key metrics and insights for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Significant experience in inventory management or control, preferably in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (ERP/WMS) and advanced data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, demand planning, and stock optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in virtual teams.
