About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Remote IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their fully remote team. This critical role ensures the stability, performance, and security of the company's IT infrastructure, supporting employees across various locations. You will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and deployment of servers, networks, and cloud-based services. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, adept at managing complex IT systems from afar, and committed to providing exceptional technical support and maintaining seamless operations within a virtualized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for IT infrastructure issues, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Deploy and configure new IT hardware and software solutions remotely.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of all systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer or similar role, with a focus on remote support.
- Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows/Linux), network protocols, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSA, CCNA) are highly desirable.
