About the Role

Our client, a pioneer in automotive user experience, is seeking a visionary Remote Lead Automotive HMI Developer to guide its human-machine interface development efforts. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive and engaging user interfaces for vehicle infotainment systems, digital cockpits, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). You will lead a distributed team of HMI developers, ensuring the delivery of state-of-the-art user experiences that enhance driver interaction and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems for automotive applications.
• Define HMI concepts, user flows, and interaction models in collaboration with UX designers and product managers.
• Oversee the development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) using modern frameworks and tools.
• Mentor and guide a remote team of HMI developers, fostering best practices and code quality.
• Ensure the HMI is optimized for performance, responsiveness, and usability across various display technologies.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to integrate HMI components seamlessly into the vehicle architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HMI/GUI development, with a significant focus on the automotive industry.
• Proven experience with HMI development frameworks such as Qt, Android Automotive, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
