Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, guiding their technical development and project execution.
• Develop and deploy sophisticated machine learning models for tasks such as resource prediction, equipment failure analysis, and operational optimization.
• Design and implement data mining strategies to uncover hidden patterns and trends in large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and operations managers to define analytical needs and translate business problems into data science solutions.

Requirements

• A Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
• Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Strong experience working with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
