Remote Lead Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and motivated Remote Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead their electrical engineering initiatives. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various energy projects. You will lead a team of engineers, provide technical direction, and ensure that all designs meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of complex electrical power systems , including distribution, generation, and control.
• Oversee the electrical engineering aspects of project development, from concept to commissioning.
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international electrical codes and standards.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance checks for electrical designs.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines in a virtual environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering , with a significant portion in power systems or industrial applications.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E).
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, protection systems, and automation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills suitable for remote collaboration.
