Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and testing of advanced aircraft propulsion systems and components.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Mentor and guide a team of propulsion engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, materials, and manufacturing, to optimize engine performance.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive advancements in propulsion efficiency and emissions reduction.
- Oversee the development and validation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) models for propulsion components.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aircraft engine design and development.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex propulsion projects.
- In-depth knowledge of gas turbine engine cycles, thermodynamics, and component design.
- Experience with CFD, FEA, and other advanced simulation tools relevant to propulsion systems.
- Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting .
