About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Remote Lead Software Architect to define and guide the technical vision for their products. You will be responsible for setting technical standards, making high-level design choices, and communicating architectural decisions to engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the overall software architecture for the company's products, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, distributed systems and microservices.
• Set technical direction, establish coding standards, and mentor engineering teams on best architectural practices.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for development projects.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering leads, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance on technical debt reduction and system modernization.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a software architect or technical leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns, design principles, and software development methodologies.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, crucial for a remote role.
