About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Telecoms Solutions Architect to join their fully remote team, supporting operations in Birmingham and across the UK. In this critical role, you will be responsible for architecting innovative and robust telecommunications solutions that meet evolving business needs and technological advancements. You will lead the technical vision for network and communication systems, working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable designs. This is a significant opportunity to drive technical strategy and influence the direction of network infrastructure from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for complex telecommunications solutions, including voice, data, and mobile services.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and vendors to ensure our client remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business units to define technical roadmaps and implementation strategies.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and standards.
- Create and present technical documentation, proposals, and architectural reviews to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively identify opportunities for network optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
- Deep understanding of SDN, NFV, cloud networking, and modern communication protocols.
- Proven experience in architecting large-scale, enterprise-level solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and drive consensus in a remote environment.
