About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Telecoms Solutions Architect to join their fully remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and architecture of cutting-edge telecommunications solutions, ensuring they meet business needs, scalability requirements, and technological advancements. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to translate complex requirements into practical, innovative, and cost-effective technical designs. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK, contributing to a culture that values autonomy, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-level and detailed technical solutions for telecommunications services.
• Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for network and service design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance existing platforms and services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams during the implementation phase.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, roadmaps, and technical specifications.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of mobile core networks (4G/5G), fixed-line technologies, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience with SDN, NFV, and orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, security, and service assurance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders remotely.
