Remote Lean Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Remote Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence across their distributed manufacturing sites. This role is critical for implementing and sustaining lean principles, optimizing production processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement from a remote-first perspective. You will work closely with site-based teams, providing expertise and guidance to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity, all while collaborating virtually. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing strategies and initiatives across multiple locations.
• Conduct remote assessments of production processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend lean solutions.
• Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles and tools to site-based teams.
• Facilitate virtual Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for lean initiatives and monitor progress remotely.
• Collaborate closely with site management and engineering teams to ensure successful deployment of lean methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing programs.
• Proven expertise in Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, SMED, and Kaizen.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and achieve results in a remote or distributed environment.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills for virtual interaction.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with manufacturing data analysis.
