About the Role

Our client, an international consultancy firm, is seeking a skilled Remote Legal Counsel specializing in Commercial Litigation . This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for managing and advising on a portfolio of commercial disputes, working closely with business teams to achieve favourable outcomes. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and advocacy skills, capable of navigating complex legal challenges in a remote setting. You will play a key role in protecting the company's interests, minimising litigation risks, and contributing to the overall legal strategy of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of commercial litigation from pre-action protocols to trial and enforcement.
• Advise business units on potential legal risks and strategies for dispute resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal opinions and case strategies.
• Liaise with external counsel, courts, and other legal professionals.
• Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial disputes.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure rules and litigation processes.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage caseloads effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
