Remote Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize their transportation and delivery operations from a home-based setting. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient movement of goods, coordinating with drivers, monitoring shipments, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. You will play a key part in maintaining seamless supply chain operations, working closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve delivery targets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and comfortable using digital tools to manage complex logistics processes, all while working remotely from Wolverhampton or any suitable home office location.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule deliveries and pick-ups for a fleet of vehicles, optimizing routes and driver assignments.
• Monitor shipment progress in real-time, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or issues.
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and update tracking systems with shipment status.
• Process shipping documentation and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving logistical problems effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a logistics coordination, dispatch, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and general logistics principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using digital communication tools and software for remote work.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Home office setup with reliable internet connection.
