Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic transportation for various types of freight.
- Liaise with shipping carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Utilise logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimise routes.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues, such as delays or damages, to minimise disruption.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Generate reports on transportation costs, delivery performance, and other key logistics metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, freight management, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, remote setting.
- Strong understanding of UK transportation regulations and best practices.
