About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team, supporting operations across the UK. You will be responsible for coordinating the smooth and efficient movement of goods, managing transportation schedules, and maintaining clear communication between suppliers, carriers, and customers. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent administrative and problem-solving skills to navigate the complexities of modern logistics, all within a remote-first framework supporting the Sheffield region's logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods nationally.
• Liaise with transportation providers to negotiate rates and manage carrier performance remotely.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and delivery schedules using cloud-based logistics software.
• Resolve any logistical issues, such as delays or damages, promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers via digital channels regarding shipment status.
• Assist in the planning and optimization of delivery routes and transportation networks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within the supply chain, preferably in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong digital collaboration skills.
